As we all know the
dream of buying a property in France can easily turn into a
nightmare. Without the help of an expert on the ground to smooth the
sale through. My wife Martine is a French national giving us many
obvious potential advantages.
However their are a number of hidden
hurdles to overcome before your dream comes true. My secret river

was the first physical property we viewed during a frenetic weekend
visit to this charming region of France. The villa proved to be even
better than the initial research we conducted using CIC's excellent
internet site.
Monday morning
dawned and saw us closing the sale in 48 hours with the bonus of a
successful rental business to develop!
From the moment

local knowledge of the French market which Douglas has acquired was

Dear Clare and James,
I thoroughly enjoyed my time house hunting with James in the lovely
Charente. James showed me a comprehensive selection of houses, which
all had their merits, some obviously more than others, but I was
gently steered to make the decision that was right for me.
I am totally grateful for having such a warm and easy couple to help
me fulfil the dream of over 30 years. I couldn’t possibly have done

We had always dreamt of owning our own place in France but had
neither the opportunity nor the courage to take the first steps
towards achieving this aim.
We found out about CIC and were introduced to James and Clare in
Charente - suddenly everything seemed possible! James talked us
through our ideas and took us to see several properties - we had
really intended this to only be a first visit, but we fell in love
on the first viewing with what is now our own home in France. I
think James knew we would love this house so insisted we go to see

Hi Clare
We had more than a first class service from James in Mansle. He
listened carefully to our requirements and selected several
properties which were totally in keeping with our specifications and
so no time was wasted in viewing "non starters".
After viewing 40 properties with various agencies, he found us our
dream home within 2 days.
We are still benefiting from his help, although we completed the
purchase over a month ago, as he is still working on our behalf with
difficulties we are experiencing with France Telecom.
We cannot recommend him highly enough.

A bit belated, but as you know it's been quite a busy few weeks.
We would like to say a huge 'thank you' for your assistance in
finding, and eventually purchasing, our new home in Verteuil.
The kind of help we got from you was way beyond anything we
